Meal For Thought
Understanding life for what it is
Is never what it seems
The truth we come to find
Become secrets we love to hide
So then we live a lie
And tell no one till we die
For the path we chose to follow
Brought nothing but sorrow
We doubt the existence of hell
Though we live in it and can not tell
What do you chose to believe
Why do you yourself deceive?
To those who in love believe
Found refuge from pain and from anguish relief
A commitment made from the heart
Till hate and fear do them part.
For he who can say neither yes nor no
You’re a hypocrite and should know
Your choices to sit on the fence
Leaves the world without balance
For he that has no friends
His happiness he suspends
For when he is in grief and his heart is sore,
No one will comfort him and say “weep no more”
Thoughts we sit to ponder
Are not enough reasons to wonder;
Heart of hate, mind of fear
Emancipates thoughts that scare
We are much blessed
For we have those that singeth
Such sweet sounds make us whole
Such sweet voices comforts the soul
Elders tell us of many stories
Of life’s brings, of many worries:
Tales of night’s hideous journeys
Of the struggle to the utopian morning
Should we then cowardly our lives end?
For eternity in hell spend?
God forbid! We must press and struggle on
Then tomorrow, our children'll wake to a better morn
